During times like these, it is important to take the opportunity to reflect on our lines of business and how we rebuild stronger than before. Business continuity planning is about resilience: the ability to rebound and gain insight. Now more than ever, these skills will be critical in building - and maintaining - businesses that can not only survive - but also thrive. It is not about avoiding all possible threats, but moreover, mitigating those we can to reduce the impact on business and losses. In this short course, we will also discuss how losses can be framed differently across different companies.
This 2-day, 8 hour course will cover 8 main learning objectives pertaining to business continuity practices, which will include the 10 tenets of BCP. While these principles can and do get applied across industry sectors, we will take some time to reflect on the specific needs of the audience, to ensure each learner can take back what is needed to create their “new normal”.
While the learning material will be primarily slide decks presented by the instructor, this type of course would not be effective without ample discussion, video clips and examples. A booklet of slides and reference points will be provided to the learner
