This Live Bootcamp is designed to introduce you to Power BI Desktop. This data analytics tool allows you to create engaging, interactive visual reports. The first three days of the live training focus on basic principles for working with Power BI Desktop. They provide a grounding in the basic functionality of the tool and working with a variety of data sources. They also cover manipulating your data and using data modeling in the Power BI Desktop environment, including an understanding of different schemas and how to work with measures and columns, perform calculations, and apply filters. The third day covers publishing to PowerBI.com, explaining how to create and share Power BI dashboards, and how to work with reports on PowerBI.com.
The fourth and final day is aimed at advanced users of Power BI desktop. This day covers advanced calculations, time intelligence, and aggregations. It also covers advanced visualizations and tables, and advanced filtering and slicing. Here you will get advice on the correct approach to interactive data selection and learn best practices for filtering and slicing.
Prior to attending the Live sessions, please download a free trial of Power BI Desktop from https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/desktop/ if you do not already have an installation of the application.
