Discover how Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) virtual machine instances are deployed and managed by using graphical user interface (GUI), command-line interface (CLI), and PowerShell. Examine how to remotely manage Linux and Windows EC2 instances, change the instance type, and create an Elastic Block Store (EBS) volume snapshot. In this course, participants will also learn how to use GUI, CLI, and Powershell to deploy a Linux EC2 instance and also to deploy a Windows EC2 instance; how to create an EBS volume and attach an EBS volume to an existing EC2 instance; and how to create EBS volume snapshots that one can revert to in the future. In addition, you will learn to instance launch templates for instances with reoccurring settings and custom Amazon Machine Image (AMIs) that define things such as the operating system and the boot volume device. This course can be used in preparation for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate SAA-C02 exam.
